Brooke Buckner celebrates her women's singles title at the Veolia LA Open presented by Deep Eddy Vodka.

Brooke Buckner dominated Lauren Stratman in the Women’s Singles Pro Main Draw finals at the PPA Tour Veolia LA Open today, winning the match in straight sets with a final score of 11-8, 11-0.

The match lasted just 33 minutes and 30 seconds, with Buckner showcasing her aggressive style of play from the very beginning. Stratman struggled to find her rhythm throughout the encounter, failing to convert a single game point.

Dominant Performance by Buckner

Buckner started strong, taking a commanding lead in the first game. She hits powerful serves and precise groundstrokes, keeping Stratman on the defensive. Stratman called a first timeout at 1-5 and a second time out at 10-5 to break Buckner’s momentum, but it wasn’t enough. Buckner closed out the first game at 11-8.

Buckner maintained his control over the pace of the second game, forcing Stratman into errors. A brief referee correction at 3-0 in the second game did little to disrupt Buckner’s focus. She secured another 11-0 score in the second game.

Just a few months after giving birth to her third child in November, Brooke Buckner is already back competing at a high level. She credits her supportive network back in North Carolina for making this possible, allowing her to focus on training and competing week after week.
