Anna Leigh Waters Dominates at Life Time Peachtree Corners, Secures 34th Triple Crown
Anna Leigh Waters closed out a stellar week of action at the Life Time Peachtree Corners with a commanding 11-1, 7-11, 11-1 victory over No. 2 seed Kate Fahey.

It initially looked like the top seed would take care of business in straight games after going up 7-5 in the second. However, Fahey responded with a six-point run, managing to take a game off Waters for the first time in eight matchups—a milestone achievement for the rising contender.
Despite the second-game stumble, Waters came back energized in the third. She quickly regained control, storming through the final frame to clinch her 34th Triple Crown title on the PPA Tour.
This tournament held extra significance for Waters, who was eager to bounce back after suffering two Championship Sunday defeats at her previous event in North Carolina.
“I was definitely fired up after North Carolina,” she admitted. “I didn’t think that was my best performance, so I wanted to come out here and prove—not to everybody else, but to myself—that I still had it in me and that I could still fight.”
And prove it she did. Sunday’s win also marked Waters’ 150th career PPA title, after teaming up with Anna Bright to capture gold in women’s doubles earlier in the day.
On the other side, Fahey showed immense progress. Though she fell short in the final, she became the only player to take a game off Waters in any event during the week.
“It stinks to lose, but I’m definitely trying to see the bigger picture,” Fahey reflected. “This is the first time I’ve taken a game, so I’m definitely proud of myself. There are several little wins that I’m taking from this match.”
In the bronze medal match, No. 4 seed Parris Todd battled past No. 7 seed Catherine Parenteau with a 9-11, 11-1, 11-4 comeback win to finish on the podium.
With a renewed drive and dominant display, Anna Leigh Waters once again reminded the pickleball world why she remains the queen of the court.
