A Unique Format
Major League Pickleball features an innovative gameplay format that emphasizes inclusivity, allowing men and women to compete on equal footing. Each team match consists of four games: the first two are either women’s or men’s doubles, while the final two are mixed doubles. This format not only highlights the versatility of players but also adds excitement to the matches.
The Ownership Group
Tebow joins a dynamic group of celebrity co-owners, further elevating the profile of the Texas Ranchers. Alongside him, Lil Wayne, Scottie Scheffler, and Zach Bryan are also part of the ownership team, all bringing their unique influence to the sport.
The league itself consists of 22 teams, split into the Premier Level and Challenger Level. The Premier Level features the top 48 players, while the Challenger Level includes the next crop of aspiring professional players. Currently, Anna Leigh Waters leads the Premier Level with an impressive points record, followed closely by Anna Bright.
Tebow’s Athletic Legacy
Tim Tebow is no stranger to the world of sports. He played three seasons in the NFL, most notably with the Denver Broncos, after an illustrious college career at the University of Florida. There, he made history as the first underclassman to win the Heisman Trophy and played a pivotal role in leading the Gators to two BCS National Championships in 2006 and 2008.
As the Texas Ranchers prepare for the upcoming season, the addition of Tebow to their ownership group not only enhances their brand but also reflects the growing crossover appeal of pickleball.
